Tell Me a Story Project
In this project, the class wrote individual short stories, which would later be sent to a middle school in Guatemala. We didn't have any limits on what we could write about, besides the fact that it had to be appropriate for a middle school age group. My story was called A Lost Cause, and I wrote about an apocalyptic world with one man who is all alone, and he starts to rethink his past. They later influence his final decision he will ever make. I've been told that my story delves deep into emotions, and it really makes you think. One of my favorite quotes from my story is:
"But my main issue I had on my hands now was my survival. Always has been, and it will continue to be until someone gets us out of this hell."
As well as actually writing our short stories, we had to create a book. We each got a blank white book in which we created a cover and glued in our story. The backside of the book we left blank, because we have another Spanish class that will be writing our same story in Spanish and writing it on the other side, so the whole book itself will be two copies of the same story, one in Spanish and one in English, so that the kids in Guatemala will be able to read and understand it.

Here are some pictures of my cover, title page, and actual writing in my book.
